Arkansas State Police, FBI, and Child Maltreatment Central registry background checks, are required for student teaching internship, first time licensure, first time or change of employment, and all renewals.

All paperwork for the required background checks may also be secured through the Office of Educator Licensure, local school districts, and Licensure Officers in the Education Departments of all Arkansas four-year colleges/universities.

The State of Arkansas requires all substitute teachers have a High school diploma or GED
Some districts in the State of Arkansas will increase pay based on having a bachelors/masters degree or being a certified teacher. In order to verify this you must submit copies of "OFFICIAL" United States Accredited college transcripts or a copy of your State of Arkansas teaching certificate for review.

The State of Indiana requires all substitute teachers who do not currently possess an unexpired teaching certificate in the State to obtain a substitute teaching permit in order to substitute teach.

NOTE: A Substitute Permit is not renewable. It is valid for three years only. Once it expires, an applicant must apply for an Original Substitute Permit
